The Dauby Real Estate Team’s Guide to the 2026 Evansville Fall Festival
The West Side Nut Club Fall Festival is almost here, which means Franklin Street will soon be packed with food, rides, live entertainment, and plenty of people.
If you live in Evansville, you probably already have your favorite Fall Festival food or a booth you visit every year. But with more than 137 food booths lining Franklin Street, there’s always something new to try.
So, we asked our Dauby Real Estate team for their Fall Festival favorites—from the foods they never skip to their favorite booths, when to go, where to park, and a few tips they’ve picked up along the way.
Here’s our team’s guide to the 2026 West Side Nut Club Fall Festival in Evansville, Indiana.

First, When Is the 2026 Evansville Fall Festival?
This year's Fall Festival runs October 5–10, 2026, along Franklin Street on Evansville's West Side. Food booths are scheduled to open Monday, October 5, and events continue through Saturday.
What Should You Eat at the Fall Festival?
This was easily the most important question we asked—and our team had plenty of opinions.
A few of our favorites include:
- Walking tacos
- Walk-off pork chops
- USI steak sandwiches
- Kraut balls
- Breaded tenderloins
- Corn fritters
- Funnel cakes and fried Oreos
- Elephant/Monster ears
- Chicken and dumplings
- Apple dumplings
- Portobello mushroom sandwiches with Swiss cheese
- Pork parfaits
- Cotton candy
- The Evansville Fire Department's Flaming Peanut Butter Burger
If you're overwhelmed by all the options, you're not alone. Part of the fun is showing up hungry, walking Franklin Street, and seeing what catches your attention.
Our Team's Favorite Booths to Support
The Fall Festival isn't just about food. The food vendors are registered nonprofits, making the week an opportunity to support organizations throughout the Evansville community.
Our team mentioned organizations and booths including It Takes a Village, the Humane Society, FOP, Troop 350, Sacred Heart and St. Agnes, along with several church and community booths.
One piece of advice from our team summed it up pretty well: go often, spend money, have fun, and support the organizations that make the festival possible.
When Is the Best Time to Go?
There was a pretty clear consensus around the Dauby office:
Go during the day—especially around lunchtime—if you want to avoid some of the biggest crowds.
Several team members said Friday and Saturday nights can get especially busy.
But avoiding crowds isn't everyone's goal. If you're looking for more of the full Fall Festival atmosphere, evenings offer live entertainment throughout the week.
So, our team's advice comes down to what kind of experience you want:
Want shorter lines and fewer people? Try lunchtime.
Want entertainment and the full Fall Festival atmosphere? Head down in the evening.
Where Should You Park?
This question got everything from helpful suggestions to a very honest "There's no good parking."
A few team members recommended parking at St. Boniface, while others said their strategy is simply to park farther away and walk.
Officially, parking is available throughout the areas surrounding Franklin Street. Free street parking may be available, while paid parking areas can be found closer to the festival.
One team member offered another good perspective: consider paying to park with a nonprofit organization. You're already there to support the community, and your parking money can support a local cause, too.
Don't Miss the Parade
If there's one event worth planning around, several members of our team recommended the parade.
The 2026 Main Parade begins at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 10, and travels along West Franklin Street to St. Joe Avenue. The official event information says the parade is expected to feature around 100 units, including floats and marching bands.
There's also a Pet Parade at 10 a.m. Saturday, plus the Lighthouse Parade Monday evening and Amateur Hour events throughout the week.
Going to the Fall Festival With Kids?
Families have a few additional events to keep on their radar.
Family Day is Sunday, October 4, from 1–7 p.m., before the full festival begins. The Kiddie Midway is scheduled to be open, but the nonprofit food booths will not yet be open.
A Few More Fall Festival Tips
Come hungry. Wear comfortable shoes. If you're trying to avoid crowds, consider going earlier in the day. And don't be afraid to try something you've never ordered before.
It's also a good idea to bring cash along with your card. According to the West Side Nut Club, all food vendors accept cash, but only some accept credit or debit cards.
What's Your Fall Festival Favorite?
Our team gave us plenty to add to our list, but now we want to hear from you.
What's the one Fall Festival food you get every year? And which booth should we make sure we visit?
Let us know—and if you see the Dauby Real Estate team out on Franklin Street, be sure to say hi.
