How To Get Your Offer Accepted: Tip No. 2
Tip No. 2 is about figuring out how you’re going to pay for the house.
The second step in getting your offer accepted is finding the funds to pay for a home.
Are you going to do a conventional mortgage? You can do an FHA, USDA, or VA mortgage. That is also the order in which they are preferred by sellers. Are you going to pay for the home with cash? Most people don't have the money to buy a house, but if you do, you can make a cash offer. They are substantially stronger than financed offers because there's less risk for the seller.
If you do a conventional mortgage and put 20% down, that's going to look better than somebody else with an FHA mortgage putting 3.5% down. However, just because you're an FHA, USDA, or VA buyer, that doesn't mean you can't get the house. You can, but your offer might need sweeter terms and a higher price.
